Black Tie DJ PHX is a mobile entertainment company located in the Phoenix metropolitan area.  Available for all types of events including:

      • Weddings

      • Corporate Events

      • Retirement / Holiday

      • School Dances

      • Anniversaries / Birthday Parties

Every event is unique and we pride ourselves on catering to each one individually.  We customize our style to your event.  With years of DJing and Emcee experience, we know how to entertain.  We coordinate with wedding planners, caterers, photographers, and videographers to make your event a success.

Budd Moyer

Budd grew up in southern California where he worked with a catering company while in college. His interest in music and outgoing personality drew him to the entertainment side of events. In 2001 he was trained, and began as a mobile DJ under, Tim Chisam, a 12 year veteran and owner of What a DJ.

Budd has been DJing since 2001 with well over 100 events, the majority being weddings. He prides himself on his professional attitude and ability to read a crowd. He's comfortable as the center of attention, or simply setting the mood with well chosen background music. These traits have allowed him to repeatedly impress and entertain countless clients.

Budd moved to Gilbert, AZ and started his own company, Black Tie DJ PHX.

Budd's equipment is state of the art. All of his music is digital producing a crisp and clear sound. He also uses Cordless Microphones to move around and interact with your guests.

There are more than 20,000 music titles, going back to the late 20's, all on Compact Disc and Laptop. He stays current using R.P.M., the same music service used by radio stations. His library includes all of the great hits from: Pop, Top 40, Disco, Funk, Old School, Rock, Country, Contemporary Christian, Latin, Jewish, Hip Hop, Alternative, Reggae, Jazz,.....

Budd donates his time and DJ skills to local fundraising events. If you are currently planning an event to raise money and awareness for a worthy cause, he may be available to assist. Recent events include Breast Cancer and Boys & Girls Club fundraisers.
